Nominations are open for the appointment of community members to the New Grafton Correctional Centre Community Consultative Committee.
Many State significant projects in NSW have Community Consultative Committees (CCC).
These committees provide a forum for open dialogue between the proponent and representatives of the local community, stakeholder groups and local councils on issues directly relating to the project. An independent chairperson has been appointed to facilitate committee meetings.
We are looking for a mix of people who live locally or are members of a stakeholder group (community, environment, Aboriginal or industry) to join our New Grafton Correctional Centre Community Consultative Committee.
Your role as a committee member is voluntary.
Selection criteria: You will be expected to contribute constructively to committee discussions, attend meetings approximately every six (6) weeks during the construction phase and up to four (4) meetings a year during operation of the facility. We are looking for looking for members who are willing and able to communicate information about the New Grafton Correctional Centre between the committee and the broader community.
